Well, I'm finally able to sit down! It has been one long busy day! It doesn't help that I woke up at 1 AM and couldn't go back to sleep! So what does one for at that ungodly hour but get on Facebook of course! I ended up have a long conversation with my ex-husband and what happened to our our marriage. He told me that I am an incredible woman, an awesome mom, and that I have done a fantastic job raising my kids. All words I never thought I would hear from him!
Around 5 I got up and pulled Honey up with me lol and we took Luna out for a 2.5 mile walk, then came home, took a shower and headed out for the Farmer's Market in a nearby town. We didn't get any veggies or flowers, but I got the most beautiful hand-spun silk yarn! Oh it is gorgeous! I am going to have to find a very special pattern for it!
Then we stopped for brunch at our favorite local cafe and visited with one of our "adopted" sons who works there. Then on to the Mennonite store down the street from our home for strawberries! We also purchased 2 blueberry bushes and 2 blackberry bushes for our berry patch!
When we got home it was time to hull all 8 quarts of strawberries for jam. I ended up with 27 half pints! Yummy! Canning season has officially started!
While I made up the jam, Honey was out planting the berry bushes. Cookie Monster was off with friends at yet another graduation party, and Princess Pea was at a birthday party!
Honey and I also played Frisbee with Luna and wandered through the yard checking on the gardens and flowers. my peas are nearly ready and I have many flowers in bloom. We have had rain showers off and in, so our time outside was a but limited today.
A little while ago Honey went up to lay down and I collapsed on the couch with my knitting. Princess Pea is home and made some chocolate chip cookies.
So now, I am going to knit for awhile and watch the NASCAR race. Then it will definitely be an early bedtime with prayers that I can sleep tonight!
